I have to say, u have the patience of a Saint. I'm not going to say I'm judgemental, but I will go to my grave NEVER understanding how the "STUFF" brings peace & harmony to anyone's life. My mother & brother r both hoarders, so it's 2 against 1 & trust me I don't get a vote. I have to live the way they like to live & get over it. I have to change for them, but they don't have to change for me.🤔 All I know is, watching ur videos motivates me to 100th degree. Thank U!

This whole show gives me anxiety. She simply has TOO much food. I think she needs to be educated in shopping for just what she needs for say a month at a time. She hasn’t enough space for everything she’s buying.

Dani is a food hoarder. Everything you buy and not use is money you can save up instead or/and to enrichen your life. Throwing away expired food is like throwing away money.

I had a beautiful large bamboo cutting board someone gave to me 5 years ago, but I never ever used it. My colleague needed one and I gifted it to her. She saved money and it’s not taking up space in my cabinet anymore. Win win 🏆 🎉

Give the alcohol to your friends/colleagues/family who actually drink and just keep 3 or 4 bottles.

It feels like I’m on my like my bazillinonth pass bc I had to take everything I owned to college and move it around every year. Every move I kept less and less. Then, my dad went into a facility and I had too much again. Then, I moved and declutterred. Then, I got really sick and gathered things again. I’m overwhelmed again. So another declutter is necessary! But with the added complication of the leftover remnants of the sickness.

Maybe I missed this in another video, but what is all over her refrigerator? Stickers?

For make up, there are clear organizers that you can get for them. I have a tendency to buy a lot of nail polish because I love the colours (though I've not bought any for a while so I can use up what I have.)

So funny. Sadly, plastic flatware cannot be recycled in my area. I got rid of two grocery bags full. Organization I check with we’re not interested in them. I sort my stainless spoons by size. Soup spoons or teaspoons. easier to tell how many you need than grouping them together. This is so entertaining. I agree Dani should have her own channel to follow her career and how she’s doing keeping up with her new surroundings at home.

Yasss did that two 2⃣ and two last year and it is incredible!!! Also, two loads of laundry per season and my clothes are washed! Amazing downsizing. My elderly Mom and I are moving into a studio apartment from a two bedroom two bathroom apartment. It will be sooo much nicer and cleaner. God bless you on your journey! ❤🎉

Just a note for everyone on coffee syrups They are not a long time use thing I'm calling out all you people who have coffee bars and those bottles have been their for a year ( or two)🙃. Monin: When stored in a dry, clean location at a temperature of 65-80°F, the shelf life after opening and with the cap on will be 90-180 days. When stored in a dry, clean location at a temperature of 65-80°F, the shelf life when using a pump or pour spout will be 30-60 days. So Dani having them near the stove and sink humidity and heat could keep them not at a safe level. ( maybe once your booze is gone you could make coffee cart? or make area by baking table a coffee area? Also Powdered sugar should be used within 2 years for freshness and taste.

19:07 actually, bending sharp curves in cords like that breaks the wires inside. You’ll be better off looping them into a circle that follows the natural curve of the wire and then taking the end length and looping it in and out around the curve which holds the loops together without stressing the wires. About as long as three loops of the natural curve. (I used to build wire harnesses and have a lot of experience with electrical and data cables.)

I think it would be scary and not okay to feed others with foods (baked, cooked, or as is) drinks other than ETOH that has expired past 6 months on anything. Please consider what you have others consume. Too many foods way expired to be safe in your home.

I’m a Boomer. I’m constantly trying to declutter knowing that I’m nearing the end of life, and not wanting to leave my only child with the same burden my own hoarder mother left me. It’s really hard. Not just the losses and trauma and nostalgic reasons to keep things, but the shear exhaustion of life slowing down. As you mentioned, I cannot move as quickly as I used to, neither physically nor mentally. I am acutely aware of that, and I am also acutely aware of my daughter’s frustration with me because of it and because of our different opinions of importance. I’ve adapted to the way I have to operate, and have incorporated my own weaknesses and my daughter’s traits to make it so that she can help me in a way that I need to be helped and I can make progress. I do that by puttering. It’s what I do best. I just have an overall idea of the direction things should be moving and I make sure that my puttering moves things along in that general direction. I keep a box in the hallway for donations, and I add to it as often as I find something to add to it. This often means I’ll declutter an item from the kitchen, then three from a closet, then another one from the bedroom. Once the box or two boxes are close to full, I ask my daughter to come help me. No matter what we end up doing, she takes the boxes away and when she leaves, I start my puttering all over again.

As someone who moves every 3-6 months for work, I am all too familiar with what you went through in these videos. Every move I try to whittle down a bit more to what I actually need. Extras I am trying to get myself to thrift and redonate rather than transporting across the States repeatedly.

I hope to never again get sucked into helping someone declutter, who doesn't actually want help, but just wants to complain. It is a loose loose situation. Either I'm made to feel guilty for not helping, or put down for helping.

If the seal on the alcohol has been broken, the alcohol will evaporate over time. I would get rid of it all. Even wine should be stored at the proper temperature to remain tasty. No one wants to come over and drink all the old alcohol.
